Welcome to the Sierra Nevada Virtual Museum Text Only site.

This site provides only the text of exhibits and other elements of the SNVM Flash-version website.  To enter the Flash-version, click on “Open SNVM Full Graphic Site” at the top of your screen at any time.

To access the text files, click one of the three destinations listed at the right -- “Galleries,” “Special Exhibits,” or “Resources” -- and select from the menus.


SNVM Text Only site is updated regularly. 
However, not all text from every exhibit on the Virtual Museum (Flash version) may presently appear.

Sierra Nevada Virtual Museum is a multimedia, interactive online museum presenting the rich cultural and natural history of the Sierra Nevada. Here you will find Galleries that highlight the arts, history, and natural history of the region. Here you will find Special Exhibits that feature biographies and profiles, places to visit, field trips to wondrous sites, and an extensive image gallery. Here you will find information, resource links and a calendar of events. You can even go shopping at our Museum Store.

Join us for the adventure that is the Sierra Nevada.

Sierra Nevada Virtual Museum is an ongoing project that will never be completely finished. Click the "question mark" symbol at the lower left for instructions on how to tour the museum.
