Located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada along Highway 395, Topaz Lake is at the elevation of 5040 feet.  South of Lake Tahoe, this small lake is half in California, half in Nevada. A small community of 100 is on the shoreline. Toiyabe National Forest is a neighbor.
